In recent years, a growing number of startups have been reshaping the landscape of Greek agriculture by introducing cutting-edge technologies that address modern farming challenges. Digital agriculture is transforming traditional farming by integrating advanced technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics, Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT), Internet of Things (IoT), and Digital Twins into the entire agri-food value chain.
Greek startups are creating a wide variety of digital tools and smart solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and sustainability in agriculture. These tools can improve productivity, resource efficiency, crop quality, and climate resilience, while also reducing environmental impact. Using technologies like AI, big data analytics, IoT, robotics, and blockchain, Greek startups enable better decision-making, reduce waste, and improve the quality and traceability of agricultural products. Many of their solutions include sensors, drones, and mobile apps, which work together through the cloud. This gives farmers real-time information about their crops, soil, and supply chains.
