Foodscale Hub once again used the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad to showcase what the future of agriculture looks like - through knowledge, technology, and collaboration. In cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad, a “Key Actors Open Day” was organised within the TALLHEDA project, aimed at representatives of academia, companies, institutions, and innovative agri-entrepreneurs.
The event took place on 21 May 2025 at the Foodscale Hub booth in Hall 1 of the Novi Sad Fair and focused on the topic “Enhancing the Path to Excellence through Successful Partnerships of Higher Education Institutions in Digital Agriculture”. The programme was opened by Prof. Dr Vladimir Ćirić from the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, who spoke about the role of higher education in the digital transformation of agriculture and presented the goals of the TALLHEDA project.
Afterwards, Bojana Kuzmanović from Foodscale Hub presented the TALLHEDA Virtual Innovation Hub as a new space for networking researchers, companies, farmers, and decision-makers, while Nikola Kopilović from TERRA Consulting shared hands-on experiences from the field on agricultural digitalisation. A special emphasis was placed on the practical application of technologies, through a presentation of the DynaCrop crop monitoring system delivered by Ervin Csőke from the company World from Space.
In the afternoon session, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the functionalities of the TALLHEDA Virtual Innovation Hub and the possibilities of joining the community, from students and professors to startups and small and medium-sized enterprises in the agro sector. Through this event, TALLHEDA once again confirmed that strong partnerships between science and practice are key to building sustainable and digitally empowered agriculture in the region.
