Serbian Key Actors Event 2026!

On April 1, 2026, the TALLHEDA project hosted a Key Actors Event at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad, gathering students, academics, researchers, and industry representatives for a full-day training programme dedicated to modern technologies in agriculture.

The event, held in Hall P1, brought together key stakeholders from the academic and professional community to explore how precision agriculture and digital tools are reshaping agricultural production — and how higher education institutions can lead this transformation.

A Day Dedicated to Precision Agriculture

The programme opened with a welcome address and a presentation by the Department of Agricultural Engineering, setting the stage for a rich series of lectures delivered by faculty experts and practitioners.

Prof. Dr. Nenad Magazin opened the academic sessions with an introductory lecture on the TALLHEDA project itself — outlining its mission to transform access to excellence through successful alliances of higher education institutions in the field of digital agriculture. This was followed by a deep dive into the fundamentals of precision agriculture by Prof. Dr. Marko Kostić, who covered core concepts, principles, and the state of the art in modern agricultural technologies, including the application of GNSS (GPS) systems and navigation technologies in agricultural production.

The afternoon sessions focused on the growing role of remote sensing and drone technologies in farming. M.Sc. Lazar Turšijan presented on satellite data and remote detection methodologies in agriculture, while M.Sc. Krstan Kešelj — from both the Faculty of Agriculture and Precizna poljoprivreda d.o.o. — demonstrated how drones are used for crop monitoring and detection in the field.

Dr. Zoran Stamenković then addressed the precision application of plant protection agents using drone technology — a highly practical topic for the agricultural sector — before Dr. Mladen Ivanišević closed the lecture sessions with an engaging presentation on how agricultural machinery is designed, constructed, and innovated.

Connecting Research, Education, and Practice

A dedicated Q&A session allowed participants to engage directly with the speakers, exchange experiences, and explore how these technologies can be integrated into both educational curricula and everyday farming practice. The event concluded with catering and networking, providing an opportunity for attendees to build connections across the academic and agri-tech communities.

The involvement of Precizna poljoprivreda d.o.o. as an industry partner throughout the event underlines TALLHEDA's commitment to bridging the gap between higher education and the real-world agricultural sector.
